Issued, held, spent, expired

A voucher is a balance with a code on it and a date attached. Because it is issued against the same prepaid accounts the rest of the platform uses, its value is real money in your ledger, held with your banking partner, from the moment it is created, not a promise tracked in a spreadsheet until somebody redeems it.

1 Issue Create a voucher against a prepaid account, with its own value, code and expiry date.
2 Distribute Hand it to a customer directly, or let an affiliate issue onward to the people underneath them.
3 Redeem Value moves into the holder's balance, and the movement lands in the ledger like any other.
4 Expire Unredeemed value lapses on its date and stops sitting on your books indefinitely.
Built on the wallet

Vouchers are one way to reach the balance

The same prepaid accounts carry cards, and the same wallet holds the IBANs and digital assets behind them. A promotion, a gift card and a funded account are the same machinery with different rules on top, which is why the value only has to be reconciled once.

Vouchers are part of your platform plan

Gift cards and vouchers run on the same Professional or Unlimited platform plan as your wallet. See what each plan includes.

For your integration

The balance layer, as an API.

The web services portal documents the calls behind the wallet: read a total, request an amount, transfer between accounts and between currencies, request a payout, and pull balance rows. The same operations your own product will make, with the request and response for each one.

Frequently asked questions

  • What is a voucher on Coriunder?

A voucher is a balance with a code and an expiry date. It is issued against the same prepaid accounts the rest of the platform uses, so it lives in the same ledger as your payments and settlements.

  • Where is the voucher value held?

From the moment a voucher is created, its value is recorded in your ledger and held with the banking partner you connect, not tracked in a spreadsheet until somebody redeems it.

  • Who can distribute vouchers?

You can hand a voucher to a customer directly, or let an affiliate issue vouchers onward to the people underneath them.

  • What happens when a voucher is redeemed?

The value moves into the holder's balance, and the movement lands in the ledger like any other transaction.

  • What happens to vouchers that are never used?

Each voucher carries its own expiry date. Unredeemed value lapses on that date instead of sitting on your books indefinitely.

  • How are vouchers priced?

Gift cards and vouchers run on the same Professional or Unlimited platform plan as your wallet. See the pricing page for what each plan includes.
